Chalo Us Kohpar!!

“Chalo Us Koh par… Ab Ham bhee chadh jaayen…
Jahaan par jaake phir… koi kabhi vaapis naheen aataa…” :O)

Recited by Prachi Dublay, this as a Tarannum (free singing) in 2003… ‘Chalo Us Koh par’… an Urdu Nazm (free verse) by an anonymous shayar, is originally sung by a Pakistani singer Begum Nayra Noor, which only apparently seems pessimistic & depressing in nature, but depicts the conditions real of human mind buried deep down… … & evokes the spirit purer which inspires one’s soul move on the path right … and thus ‘Koh’ here becomes a significant symbol of the Truth Divine… :O)

Sharing with you all today….

Meaning of few Urdu words used in this Nazm:

Koh – Mountain
Isteqbal – welcome
Taariqi – Darkness
Beyaqini – Distrust
